Who We Are.

Agano is Swahili for covenant and in a single word, that is what we are about—establishing a covenant with the promise to teach the next generation how to be wiser than we were. A testament to equip them with the literature they need to successfully navigate life, to learn from our mistakes. 

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that encourages literacy and learning through curation. Agano is dedicated to providing a crucial step to encourage reading—a personalized library in the homes that need books the most. We aim to inspire learning and reading by keeping the experience personal.

What We Do.

Connection

We connect directly with families to best understand their children’s book interests. Our goal is to provide a selection that encourages literacy by ensuring that the collection deeply personalized.

Curation

We consult with educators, authors, designers, creatives, and more to ensure that the collections we provide are tailored to our scholars needs at both the educational and cultural level.

Installation

We hand-deliver each collection to our scholars homes. Each installation is customized to fit the home with decor and overall aesthetic taken into account
